Eric Velez-Villar is the CEO and founder of Velez Security Solutions. He is a Security, Investigative and Intelligence leader having served over 30 years in the FBI, culminating as the senior executive over the FBI’s Intelligence Branch and then heading security for Disney’s theme parks, cruise ships, resorts and stores, as well as The Walt Disney Company’s sensitive information program.
Eric led the FBI organization through strategic initiatives including transformation to an intelligence led, threat driven organization and implementation of the bureau’s Threat Review and Prioritization (TRP) process.
He was the executive security leader of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, with global security risk management responsibility for Disney theme parks, cruise ships, resorts and stores.
Established and implemented an innovative, tailorable global security framework at Disney that is underpinned by the traditional intelligence process lifecycle.
Eric conferred the rank of Distinguished Executive by President Barak Obama in 2012. This is the nation’s highest annual award for Senior Executive Service (SES), recognizing the top 1% of senior executives in the U.S. Government.
Eric was presented with the U.S. Intelligence Community’s Medal of Distinguished Executive by the Director of National Intelligence in 2016. This medal is awarded to members of the National Intelligence Community who distinguish themselves by meritorious actions to the betterment of national security in the United States of America, through sustained and selfless service of the highest order.
